The Dollmaker of Kraków playlist
Like many authors I find that music is often a huge inspiration to me. The right song can help me capture a scene, a mood, or even a character.When I was writing The Dollmaker of Kraków, I mainly listened to instrumental pieces. "Boy 1904" by Jónsi & Alex became the Dollmaker's song. "Paradise" by the Vitamin String Quartet was Karolina's. "Mako" by Ramin Djawadi reminded me of Rena while "Cloud Atlas Finale" by Tom Tykwer reminded me of Jozef. "Wallflower" by Agnes Obel became Brandt's theme.
